With a 313Wh battery offering up to 30 miles of power assistance on a single charge, this bike will more than cover the average commute. The battery feeds its power through a stable rear hub motor that can propel you to speeds of up to 15.5mph. Plus, because the battery is integrated into the bike, the Carrera Crosscity E has such a sleek, balanced design that many people won’t even know it’s an electric bike.

The light folding frame comes with a kick stand, mudguards, and rear carrier, for added practicality on the go. 8-speed Shimano Acera gears mean you can smoothly manage the power, and V-brakes offer controlled stopping when you need it. Completing this small but perfectly formed little bike are double wall alloy rims and Kenda tyres. You’ll have everything you need to take on the urban jungle with the Carrera Crosscity E. Rest assured, this model also comes with a 2-year warranty on all electrical components.

Motor:

The Carrera Crosscity is built around a Shengei 36V 250W rear hub electric motor system, seamlessly integrated into the rear wheel. The system is equipped with a Speed sensor, which automatically engages the motor once you begin pedalling to provide power assistance to your ride. As required by law, the motor will automatically stop assisting you once you achieve a speed of 15.5mph.

Battery:

With a hidden internal Samsung Li-Ion battery, weight is balanced providing an improved ride quality, over those with rear-mounted batteries. The battery is protected from the elements on the Carrera Crosscity. With a battery capacity of 313Wh / 8.7Ah and a range of up to 30miles per charge the Crosscity is very capable on the daily commute or leisure ride. As standard on all Carrera E-bikes, the Crosscity comes with an integrated smart control system that protects the battery from overheating, short circuiting or overcharging. The battery re-charges in just 6 hours, and comes with a full 2-year / 500 charge warranty.

Note – the total travel distance will depend on the capacity of the battery, rider and luggage weight, power mode setting and riding style.

Head-Unit:

The electric motor of the Crosscity is controlled via a multi-function LED display –offering Low, Medium or High levels of power-assist. The display / control unit includes an integrated push button to switch between the 3 assistance levels, alongside the power On/Off button. The display is located on the left side of the handlebar and its compact size reduces the risk of damage when in use.
